DanceMeld Platform Choreographic LAB – Andrea Dragov

Everyday Things: Choreographic Lab
June 15 to 19 from 14:00-17:00
June 20 – Public Showing – time is TBA

A five-day lab working with oral history, movement narrative, personal archive, space, props, costumes, and improvisation.

Andrea Dragov invites participants to build together on his solo “Everyday Things” / “Всекидневности” (2023) — a work about his journey as a dancer, which later became the basis for his debut screendance short film of the same name.

During the lab, participants will work with the materials that shape the solo: oral story, movement narrative, exploration of space, archival props and costumes, and archival video and photo material. The process opens space for reflecting on one artist’s path, while also experimenting with how personal stories can mix, blur, and become collective.

The work will be mostly improvisational and will happen without music. Sharing previous experience, opinions, and feedback during the process is strongly encouraged.

Who is it for?

For dancers, performers, movers, theatre-makers, and artists interested in contemporary dance, improvisation, personal archive, movement and storytelling, devising, and collective performance-making.
